At the end of the school year of 2021, Miller Hill/Sand Lake Elementary school hired Luke Walker, registered sex offender, to do a video of the Elementary Students for an end of the school program. There was currently a gag order by Judge Richard Rivera to not put the children on social media. Miller Hill/Sand Lake Elementary School (Averill Park School District) ignored the gag order but also hired a registered sex offender to take photos and videos of elementary school students. On September 8th, 2021, The first day of school I peacefully protested across the street that my children and other children shouldn’t be allowed to be photographed and filmed by a convicted rapist of minors.
In divorce litigation, Luke Walker, father, had an order placed on him by Rensselaer County Supreme Court Rensselaer County Judge Richard Rivera not to publish the children's images on social media, ect. (Walker v. Walker, 2018). This end of the year school video was shot and edited by the registered sex offender and was published on YouTube by a teacher at the elementary school. Not only did Averill Park CSD violate an order from Judge Rivera, the school district nor teachers ever did a background check allowing a registered sex offender convicted of drugging and raping minors come into the class room and film students as young as six years old.
Luke Walker, with the help of his attorney, Leslie Silva, did an ex parte restraining order. Judge Jill Kehn granted a full stay away order from the Children and the School. This is a direct violation of my first Amendment right to peacefully protest. The petition for the protection order stated by Mr. Walker (under oath) that the principal of Miller Hill Elementary School supported Mr. Walker in his plea, stating that the distribution of literature of having a registered sex offender taking videos of elementary students was “disruptive”. What happened with this footage of children in the hands of a registered sex offender convicted of drugging and raping minors? No one cares, let’s just keep this out of the public domain.
That restraining order still sits today by Judge McGinty. So I’m not allowed, a concerned parent, to go to the school, enjoy any of my children’s activities, but the registered sex offender and the BDSM prostitute are free to do whatever they like with the school including filming the students for who knows what.
I sued the Averill Park Central School District for violation of First Amendment rights, including the right to assemble. [link here].
This isn’t the first time Averill Park Central School District has protected Registered Sex Offenders. An Averill Park High School teacher was arrested after State Police reported finding he had sent "indecent and sexually suggestive images and statements" to a child under 17, according to a release from police. I also wrote a letter to the local police Department [link here]of my concerns that the Averill Park School District keeps hiring and protecting Registered sex offenders but everything is once again, ignored by everyone. Any time I have sent flowers/gifts to the school for the children’s birthday, they have refused to give them to my children. It’s unclear to me why the Averill Park Central School District protects registered sex offenders.
If you have a child in the APSD I would be very cautious as they have a pattern of hiring and protecting Registered Sex Offenders within the District. The Averill Park Central School District harbors and protects registered sex offenders, and punishes those parents trying to speak out about it illegally, weaponizing the Rensselaer Family Court System against protective parents.
